Thesis Statements
A thesis statement is the main topic sentence for your whole paper. It is the LAST sentence in your introduction.
For our purposes, your thesis statement should be formatted as follows:
"The main idea of my paper is this BECAUSE a, b, and c."
A, b, and c become the topics for your body paragraphs. Here's an example:
Summer is my favorite time of year because of my family, my daily routine, and the warm weather that it brings.
All 3 prongs of your thesis statement should flow grammatically from the stem.
